The Maryland HQL (Handgun Qualification License) training is the required firearm training class for citizens who desire to purchase, rent or transfer handguns in the state of Maryland.
16 hour course Our Wear and Carry permit training curriculum includes instruction on Maryland firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation. Students must shoot a course of fire with at least 25 rounds, from no further than 15 yards and score at least 70% accuracy. This is a two day course.
This is not a Live fire class!! This is a three-hour intermediate level simulation-based course that utilizes our Training Simulator. The program focuses on the concepts of self-defense with a firearm and threat assessment in addition to teaching the skills of shooting on the move, shooting multiple targets, and shooting moving targets. Previous shooting experience/instruction is highly recommended, as this is an intermediate level course.
Receive 1 on 1 instruction in a 1 hour live fire session to help students improve their marksmanship. Ammunition is not included but is available for an extra fee.
This class introduces the shooter to the basics of the AR-15 or the AK-47. The class covers nomenclature, basic function, operation and familiarization fire.
